To use simply put the adjustable dumbbell in its housing and select the weight you want to lift on the dial, you can select any weight you like from 4 to 41 kg, as you turn the dial, the unique mechanism selects the discs that you need to create that weight, then when you lift the weight out of its housing only those weights selected for the weight you requested are present on the dumbbell bar, when you place the dumbbell back in the housing and select a different weight, more or less discs are added to the dumbbell stack.

While that might be complicated to explain, all you need to know is dial the weight and pick up the dumbbell.
