Hammer Cavero XTR Cross Trainer, Automatic Resistance Control.

Automatic Resistance Control, Manual and Automatic Exercise Programmes.

There's two types of exercise programme available you can start an exercise programme and enter the maximum resistance level that you would like the elliptical trainer to not go above or you can use a heart rate control exercise programme where your heart rate (the pulse rate is measured from pulse rate sensors built into the handlebars and your heart rate is calculated from the pulse) is used to control the resistance level on the pedals.

With heart rate control specify the maximum heart rate that you don't want the cross trainer to exceed and then the cross trainer will monitor your heart rate and make it easier to pedal to keep below the heart rate maximum or you can specify a target heart rate in which case the elliptical cross trainer will make it easier or harder to pedal to maintain a chosen heart rate this option is especially useful for fat burning where your trying to keep the heart active.

You can enter a heart rate maximum or target heart rate as a number using the up and down buttons next to the digital display or you can specify a percentage of maximum heart rate which is useful if your unsure what heart rate values to use.
