As well as heart rate sensors in the handle bars a heart rate chest strap is also supplied which will measure your heart rate directly from your chest and display your heart rate on the screen, the exercise programmes built into the cycle can be used to automatically adjust the cycle so you don't work harder than your heart is reporting you can work and conversely don't get a free ride when you should be working a little harder.
